Siem Reap: Long awaited news that will cheer the heart of many in Siem Reaps tourist related industries.

Director of Siem Reap International Airport Bun Ratha, has announced that Siem Reap is now open to receive fully vaccinated foreign travelers. He has also specified that Visa-exempted countries, especially from the ASEAN regions is also welcomed in Cambodia.

There are few announcements of late that could be considered more important to the residents of Siem Reap, with the opening of international travel, at long last the dormant tourist industry is set to spring back into life, with the opening of the international airport.The crucial announcement was made at a meeting on Wednesday assessing and ensuring the safety of guests, to give visitors a safe as well as memorable experience.

Director of Siem Reap International Airport Bun Ratha says thatCambodia has a special list that allows residents of some countries to enter Cambodia without a visa. Mostly in the ASEAN region, which is Cambodia's open sky policy.

Although open arms welcoming tourists, he has reminded the travelers to adhere to the strict requirements in place with the vaccination on top. These also include PCR test certificates taken 72 hours before arrival, and rapid test upon arrival at the airport, to ensure the safety of Cambodian citizens as well as other visitors.
